Greetings!

I'm so glad you're here.

I'm a local news reporter currently based in Tacoma, WA. I interned at the Tacoma News Tribune before beginning my full-time role as the Gig Harbor reporter, covering Gig Harbor, Key Peninsula, Fox Island and other areas across the Tacoma Narrows.

Before that, I wrote for my student paper at the University of Washington, The Daily; freelanced for the South Seattle Emerald and interned at Cascade PBS News (formerly Crosscut).

Local news is my passion because it's where I learned to care about my community and the issues that impact my everyday life. I grew up in a big suburb knowing very little about my elected representatives or the social systems that affected my family and friends. Journalism taught me that anyone can begin to feel informed and connected, with a little curiosity, a little courage and a little confidence to talk to the decision makers in high places.

My motto is "look for the little things," because the details have always spoken to me and helped me see the big picture. In local news, there's no story too small – though it often proves to be a piece of a bigger one.

Let me come and listen to your story.
